Three ingredient allergy friendly chocolate brownies that hit that spot, every time! Eating the whole stack of these goodness bars is going to nourish your body, eating these will provide you with health benefits and they might even calm those bones down when you are feeling like you could scream at//stomp/kick/eat everything and everyone in sight… and then be confused… then your ovaries stab you… and then you want to eat more. Yes, these will fix all of that crazy lady stuff. Why??
Cocoa or, even better, cacao contains the mineral magnesium which so many of us are lacking. When suffering from PMS, your body is screaming out for magnesium and so you mindlessly reach for traditional chocolate bars. Don’t disrespect your body with that awful crap. Try these too easy, guilt free treats instead. Every cell in your body, your moods and your waistline will thank you for it.
They are free from dairy, egg, nut, sugar, wheat, gluten, nightshade and soya. Guilt free too!!
Raw Brownies aka PMS Buster Brownies
One cup shredded coconut
One cup medjool dates (or regular dates soaked for 10min in hot water to soften, then discard water)
A third of a cup of cocoa or cacao
Add anything else you like, nuts and a banana are ideal!
Whizz in a food processor for a minute, scrape sides then whizz for another minute. Form into bar shape. Sprinkle with a little extra cocoa.
Serve with nettle tea or raspberry leaf tea to create a feeling of peace and calm.
